This mega-iteration of my sunflower design has eight layers of stacked 'petals'. I have tweaked and refined this pattern many times over the years, playing with various color combinations, and number of segments, but this particular iteration stuck. This build is simple in many ways, from its symmetry to how it scales, but I never tire of it.
